Social Truth is a Horizon 2020 project aiming to counter the challenging problem of fake news. It aims to tackle the challenge in a way that would prevent vendor lock-in of the solution, distribute the trust and reputation through the blockchain technology, integrate Lifelong Learning Machines that would spot the paradigm shifts of fake news and offer a convenient digital companion that would supply individual users with the option to verify their services from within their browsers. In order to enact this aspiration ICT engineers, data scientists and blockchain experts from both the industry and the academia, along with end-users and use-cases providers have formed a consortium and thus joined their efforts. Henceforth, during the four months up to the day of the meeting, significant effort was made to conceive the requirements the system would need to fulfil and the architecture those requirements would impose.
